Protein Cleanup Kits

Isolation of lower-abundance proteins is often complicated by the presence of contaminating detergents, nucleic acids, salts, and other overabundant protein species. Bio-Rad offers two types of kits for sample cleanup prior to 2-D and other downstream protein analysis: the Aurum serum protein mini kit and Aurum Affi-Gel Blue mini kits and columns.

Protein Fractionation Kits

In order to identify the most complete array of proteins, it is often necessary to reduce the complexity of the protein sample. The ability to separate protein samples into fractions that can be analyzed independently is a powerful method that results in increased resolution of proteins, enrichment of low-abundance proteins, and the ultimate identification of more proteins within a sample.

Fractionate complex samples chromatographically by enriching for acidic or basic proteins using the Aurum ion exchange mini kits.
